Kaskinen is finding tenants for its tourist attractions for next summer.
Last summer, Kaskinen established a working group to consider the tourism of the Sälgrund pilot station, the guest boat harbor and the Marianranta campsite.
In recent years, it has been difficult to find tenants for the properties.
– There are interested renters in all destinations. At the beginning of next week, interviews will be conducted with those interested in the guest marina and the campsite. Negotiations have also already taken place about renting a pilot station. We are already quite far along with that, says Häggblom.
A few of the applicants have experience in starting a business in the tourism industry. According to Häggblom, it is very important for the city’s image that tourist attractions are open in the summer.
Decisions on renting the sites will be made later this year, so that the new tenants have time to plan their activities for next summer.
– After the interviews, the committee makes a presentation to the board and the board then decides, Häggblom says.
