The construction of the garden city has so far been limited to a few detached houses and daycare centers. It has been quiet in the land trade this year.
Orimattila has put 16 new plots up for sale in Henna, which it envisions as a garden city.
So far, less than ten single-family houses and a kindergarten in Länsi-Orimattila have been built in the private area.
The new lots are located along Timjamikuja and Neilikkakuja.
The square meter price of the plots is 22 euros. The plot can also be rented.
Plots can be applied for through the city’s electronic plot service until November 12.
By the end of October, there had still been no inquiries about the plots.
– Usually, the search picks up in the last days of the deadline, says Hosiaisluoma.
Quiet in the plot shop
Orimattila’s land use manager Ossi Hosiaisluoma says that it has been quiet on the plot front.
Plots have been sold in Pennala in the past, but so far this year, there have been no new detached house plots. A couple of previous reservations have been redeemed.
– Construction costs may have decreased a little, but interest rates have not, says Hosiaisluoma.
At the beginning of 2023, it was calculated that Orimattila has invested around 15 million euros in Henna, but the construction of the area had not started properly at that time.
