Participants must present a plan for the development of the campsite, future investments, references and financing.

Among those selected for the closed auction, Tmi Mikko Ylijukuri manages the holiday village Ristijärven Pirtti in Kainuu, Salmenranta Camping Oy runs Puolanka Camping, and the largest company is Suomi Camping Oy. It manages the large tourist centers in Rauhalahti in Kuopio, Härmälä in Tampere and Yyteri in Pori.

In the auction, the cottages and other buildings owned by the city will be transferred to a new entrepreneur.

A 20-year lease is made for the land areas.

Overnight stays at the campsite cover about 20 percent of the city’s accommodation days annually.
