Charges were read against four in a large drug ring in Lahti – cocaine and marijuana were distributed in an application popular with criminals

The prosecutor estimates the financial benefit of drug crimes to be almost 850,000 euros in total.

In the Päijät-Häme district court, the prosecutor is demanding a prison sentence for three people and a suspended sentence for one in the extensive drug crime network.

There are almost 30 charges in the case, most of them serious drug crimes.

According to the subpoena application, the defendants have indulged in and sold drugs in Lahti and Hollola between spring 2020 and spring 2021. The drugs were cocaine, amphetamine and marijuana, which has been traded in batches of up to 10-11 kilograms.

The defendants bought and traded drugs under various usernames in the encrypted Sky ECC application popular with criminals.

As the financial benefit of drug crimes, the prosecutor collects a total of nearly 850,000 euros in compensation from the defendants to the state.

Three days have been reserved for the main hearing of the case in the district court.
