AI offers erotic Swedish experiences and real human-like characters at Slush

This year, Slush will once again showcase the entertainment industry and phenomena coming from East Asia in particular. Clothing-related inventions will also be on show, for example, in an effort to get rid of fast fashion.

The future will be presented again at the Slush event in Helsinki.

A couple of years ago, Slush was full of new innovations using virtual reality, or VR, but this year, people hiding behind virtual glasses and in their own worlds were almost absent.

Instead, AI seems to be a feature of many startups and companies at the moment.

PIRR has recently developed an AI-based digital experience of the same name – shall we say – that Wallander calls \”a new world of erotic fantasies\”. It uses NLP language technology, where the computer is taught to understand the language used by humans. This fits perfectly with the PIRR ideology that the brain is the largest human sex organ.

– Romance and erotica are the most profitable literary genres in the world, and many people really like this kind of content. However, we wanted to do something completely new. It is possible for the user to interact with artificial intelligence and the user can also tell and customize his own erotic story, Wallander says.

A three-dimensional world for all

The recent rapid development of neural networks and artificial intelligence can also be seen in video games. Artificial intelligence has influenced not only gaming technology but also the fact that gaming is even more immersive in virtual reality.

Pengfei Zhang of Yahaha games company Pengfei Zhang wants to offer three-dimensional digital for all.

The ideology and goals of Yahaha, which was founded in Helsinki the other year and is on the rise, include making games possible for everyone. So even at Slush, the company advertised its no-code 3D game-creation platform, which anyone can use to create game content.

– Animations or 3D contents of games are usually made by professionals and you need to have technological know-how in order to successfully implement such things. We want to lower the bar: one click, and your game is ready and available to millions of people.

According to Pengfei Zhang, we are now living in a digital age, and everything on the Internet is moving from a two-dimensional to a three-dimensional world.

– 3D is the future, and it would be advisable for everyone to learn something about it. This can be compared, for example, to the use of TikTok, which no one had any idea about a few years ago. In our case, it’s about democratizing 3D content.

Fast fashion on the firing line

At Slushi, we aim to offer environmentally friendly ecological solutions every year. For example, fast fashion has been in the EU’s line of fire for a long time, and the Union wants the textile products sold in the EU to be produced with respect for the environment.

Such a feature can be found in a completely new type of recyclable textile fiber developed by the Finnish Ioncelli, whose raw material is wood pulp.

Textile fiber has already been processed for a decade, and ionic liquid is used in its production, among other things. Ioncelli has a pilot plant in the premises of Aalto University in Espoo, and the intention is that it will start happening next year.

– Our Ioncell technology is perfectly suited for recycling textile fibers. It is one important factor when we strive to create a circular economy in the clothing and textile industry, says Antti Rönkkö.

Environmentally friendly fiber is also obtained from the woolly and soft fluff of the osmankäämi flower, which is used to make Fluff Stuff, a substitute for down, for example in jackets and pillows.

Customized lures

– Sumo differs from Fotar specifically in that it can be used in a browser. It does not require large resources from the local machine, which means it works even with lighter iron.

Artificial intelligence has also crept into Sumo: it can now build pictures in the same way as, say, Midjourney, i.e. by entering words.

Slushi also has quite exceptional and personal items on display, namely lures designed and customized with the help of Sumo. Many have visited them to admire them.

Brain-boosting Korean games

East Asia is invariably well represented at Slush every year. This year, a new version of the iconic Rubik’s cube developed by the UNIST company arrived at Slush from South Korea.

Likewise, the Korean game is a combination of analog and digital: the physical chips make the digital screen react and work. This game for the whole family also has pedagogical goals: it can be used to study English, for example.
