FC Lahti prepares for league qualification: ‘We will stay in the league’

FC Lahti were sharp on Sunday against HIFK, according to head coach Mikko Mannila, both in attack and defence.

On Sunday, the team from Lahti scored six goals against HIFK in a match with no stakes. The stakes will rise when the qualification for the league starts on Thursday.

Football league team FC Lahti finished the challenger series with a 6-1 win over HIFK on Sunday at their home stadium.

Lahti’s season will continue on Thursday and Sunday with a two-legged league qualifier to decide whether Lahti will play in the league or in the lower division of Division One next season.

On Monday, we will find out whether they will face Turku Palloseura or Jaro from Pietarsaari.

– Both teams have clear strengths. The coaching team has prepared for both and we have a clear picture of the teams. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will analyze the opponent’s style of play and create a match plan.

When Mannila is asked if FC Lahti’s path to the league or the 1st is next season, the answer comes quickly.

– Yes, we will stay in the league.
