The number of rooms decreases as the room size increases

Hotel Koljonvirra now has 100 rooms, but the renovations will reduce the number to 88.

– The hotel has old small-sized rooms that are combined into larger rooms, Ville Puustinen explains.

According to Puustisinen, during the renovations, all the hotel’s lobbies and corridors will be renewed, as well as the entire building technology including electrical work.

– The cost estimate is around 5.3 million. This is a significant investment in the hotel industry.

According to the branch manager, Koljonvirta has been the absolute number one hotel in Iisalmi, both in terms of quality and quantity, for several decades.

PeeÄssä’s goal now is to maintain that position and make the hotel meet today’s standards.

– We thought that it would make more sense to do it big all at once than to do it in small pieces, Puustinen formulates.

The new hotel is scheduled to be ready by June next year.
