Orimattila’s contract with Terveystalo will be terminated next spring. The Päijät-Häme Welfare Region will decide this year whether to take over Harju Health’s services.
The continuation of Orimattila’s social services will be decided by the welfare region later this year. Orimattila’s reception services are currently run by Terveystalo, whose contract will be terminated next spring.
According to the agreement, Harju Health has the right to expand its operations to other municipalities in Päijät-Häme. Harjun terveys is a joint venture between Mehiläinen and Päijät-Sote, in which Päijät-Sote has a 49% stake.
Nieminen says that the welfare association must also have some production of its own. That is why the services in Asikkala, Heinola, Padasjoki and Hollola will remain produced by Päijät-Sote. Sysmi has a long and extensive contract with Terveystalo.
Reception services in Hartola and Orimattila have already been outsourced to a private company before. However, oral healthcare and social services have still been Päijät-Sote’s own activities.
The regional government of Päijät-Häme will decide on Hartola social security center services on Monday. According to the presentation, the services would be provided by Harju health from the beginning of the year.
The service provided by Harju health also includes oral health care and social services. Thus, the share of outsourcing in Päijät-Hämee will also increase if the regional government decides to buy the sanitary services of Hartola and Orimattila from Harju health.
