We are looking for a range of instruments to which the political groups are committed.
– The needs and the amount are so great that we don’t want to invalidate the city’s growth.
Not just a cut list
Lampinen reminds that to balance it is necessary to increase incomes through, for example, employment and vitality measures. Even so, surgery cannot be avoided.
– An important part of this work (balance program) is the definition of the service level of the educational activity. That’s probably where the biggest twists and turns take place, Lampinen estimates.
The size of the change in the tax rate will certainly be discussed by political groups as well.
Financial issues are expected to be discussed on Thursday and Friday at the council seminar.
A foretaste of the group’s presentations concerning the year 2024 may have been given during May-June.
