The city of Oulu and DU Properties Oy, which is planning a tourist development in Hietasaari, have ended up leaving the par 3 golf course out of the plot reservation application that will be processed by the community board on Wednesday.
The hotel project in the area of \u200b\u200bPOHTO’s training center is still being moved forward.
DU Properties plans to demolish the old education center in poor condition and replace it with an eight-story hotel and four-story chalets.
The proposal now going to the Community Board includes two plots of land to be reserved for accommodation construction.
The company is still ready to proceed with the golf course in the future if other development plans in the area are changing. An amusement park is planned next door to the POHTO area.
A Kalevala park was previously planned for the area reserved for amusement park activities, but it did not materialize. Recently, there have also been plans to designate it as a permanent place for the Tivoli of Finland, which spent months in Oulu last summer.
