Accommodation sales increased by up to 31 percent compared to 2021.

The tourism year of the Pietarsaari region was successful, as accommodation sales and tourist stays increased for the second year in a row.

According to preliminary data, accommodation sales increased its income to 4 million euros in 2022. The increase compared to the second year was 31 percent.

Last year, 52,000 accommodation days were accumulated in the Pietarsaari region, which is a good 10 percent more than last year.

The rise is significant, as the reference year 2021 was a record year for domestic tourism.

There are approximately 270 rooms and five hundred beds in the accommodation establishments of the Pietarsaari region.

The trend was the same last year also in Kokkola and Kalajoki
