A customer survey completed in the spring revealed growth potential among those who already use public transport.

Lahden seudun joukkoliikenne LSL wants to better understand the service needs of its customers.

The company has commissioned a customer survey to help it better target its bus marketing to specific audiences.

The recently completed Hellon oy study consisted of qualitative interviews with less than ten people and questionnaire responses from about a thousand people in Häme.

The study formed several customer groups, such as bus users, using their own car and bus, motorists, walkers and cyclists.

For example, people were asked if they believe they would increase the use of public transport over the next two years.

Strategy calls for growth

During this year, LSL is planning to use research data in practice.

It has been recorded in the strategy of the public transport company that 50 % of public transport passengers and box office revenue should be increased by 2035.

In 2024, the Lahti Region Traffic set a new record when it recorded nearly 8 million trips on its buses.

LSL’s budgets in the next few years have undergone savings pressures.
