Päijät-Häme District Court gave its judgment on May 2, 2025

The woman retained dangerous drugs at home and spread them for sale. There was insufficient evidence of the factor who exercised the real control.

A woman born in Lahti in 1977 has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for gross drug offenses.

The woman held and forwarded marijuana, hashish, amphetamine and cocaine for sale in 2022-2023.

The value of the drug in the street trade is estimated at EUR 650,000. A large amount of drugs was very dangerous.

The woman received drugs from courier and retained drugs at home in Nastola in a wardrobe closet or under a bed in a bag or box. He wrapped the drugs into smaller parts and handed them to the applicants directly from his home in accordance with the instructions given to him.

The district court did not find out who had given the woman instructions.

The court rejected the charges of a man born in 1987 for serious drug offenses. The prosecutor suspected that the man had exercised actual control of crimes committed by a woman. However, the man’s involvement did not show.

The man was sentenced to 11 months’ imprisonment, including firearms offense, drunk driving and drug offenses. Police found two starter pistols in the man’s car modified to shoot bullets.

The judgment is not yet final.
