By the end of November, almost 150,000 air passengers passed through Tampere-Pirkkala. However, we are far behind the years of the heaviest use.
The number of passengers at Tampere-Pirkkala Airport has increased significantly after the corona restrictions have been lifted. This year, by the end of November, almost 150,000 air passengers had passed through it, say Finavia and Statistics Finland.
The majority of the figure was accumulated from international flights, the domestic share was only around five percent.
Tampere-Pirkkala was the fifth busiest after Helsinki-Vantaa, Oulu, Rovaniemi and Kittilä. About 15 years ago, however, 600 to 700,000 air passengers passed through Pirkkala every year.
