Lahti Hennala homicide suspect: man suspected of killing his girlfriend has a serious criminal record

The victim’s male friend has been imprisoned and is suspected of killing. Prisoner has a long criminal background.

Päijät-Häme District Court has imprisoned one man on suspicion of manslaughter.

On Thursday morning, the Häme police received a call from the emergency call centre to a private residence in Hennala. On the spot, the police confirmed that there is reason to suspect homicide in the events at the apartment.

A 60-year-old woman was found dead in the apartment. A resident of the apartment, a 53-year-old man, was arrested at the scene. According to police, the victim is a man’s female friend.

The Päijät-Häme District Court has arrested a man on probable cause on suspicion of the murder of his female friend. The prosecution must be prosecuted by June 27, 2025 at the latest.

The captive is familiar to the police and has been sentenced to penalties about a dozen times in the Päijät-Häme District Court.

Among other things, he received a murder sentence in the district court in 2008 for a man burning in Lahti the previous year. Later, the Court of Appeal overturned the judgment.
