Rasua campsite entrepreneur is in demand in Jämsä
The future entrepreneur of the campsite will be decided by April at the latest.
A total of 16 applicants have registered as an entrepreneur in the Rasua Campground in Jämsä. There are both individuals and companies.
The city took over the campsite in 2022, before which it was run for twenty years by PesäLomailuun oy.
Jämsä later received a new entrepreneur in the area, but the agreement was terminated early in the year due to, inter alia, unpaid rent.
Some candidates will be invited for an interview
– Some applicants have experience in camping entrepreneurship or currently have a campsite company.
Leppänen says that some applicants have experience in the restaurant and accommodation, but no experience in the campsite.
Leppänen says that interviews include people or companies with previous experience in campsite or in the restaurant industry.
Some applicants have already been interviewed during the application period and the last interviews will be held next week. Selected candidates will be requested, among other things, for business plans and rental offers for the annual rent of the campsite.
The final decision on the entrepreneur’s election will be made at a meeting of the Vitality Board by April at the latest.
The city hopes that a new entrepreneur can start in Rasua this summer. In addition, the city wants to be able to swim at the Rasua beach.
