Kim Väisänen, chairman of the board of think tank Libera, would find something to cut at least in home care support and entertainment cruises.
Finland is getting into more debt all the time, and next year new debt will be taken on at eight billion euros. In Tuesday’s A-studio, financial experts will discuss how to balance the Finnish economy.
– In my opinion, docking between Stockholm and Helsinki or Stockholm and Turku during people’s free time should not be supported, Väisänen said.
– We have a large ecological crisis, which involves climate change, loss of nature, overuse of natural resources. Then we have an energy crisis coming on badly in the winter and we also have some kind of healthcare crisis and the population is getting older, Ahokas listed.
He pointed out that all difficult social challenges should be dealt with at the same time and public finances should be looked at from that perspective.
Maliranta: Finland had a miserable period
In the opinion of Kim Väisänen of Ajatuspaja Libera, the Finnish economy has not moved forward in 14 years. He compared Finland to a water runner.
– Finland has been water running for 14 years now. Unlike the water runner, we have not moved forward. We have stayed put. That’s the biggest problem, Väisänen thought in Tuesday’s A-studio.
– If that period were cut out, then our situation would actually be quite good, Maliranta reflected.
