Apulanta made their latest album in their very own studio in Apulandia

Punk band Apulanta’s new studio album is called A Product Like Soul. The band recorded most of the material in Apulanda, where it was surprisingly easy to set up their own studio.

Apulanta’s new album was released today (Friday). The studio album, titled Apulanta, was recorded in 2019-2022 mainly at the band’s own base in Apulandia.

The band, which has moved from Heinola to Lahti, has for several years owned a building in the old barracks area that sits in the Hennala district of Lahti. Initially, Apulandia housed the band’s office, a café and the Apulanta Museum.

There was already a band’s practice hut there. Apulanta dismantled the old Heinola training hut and rebuilt it as their headquarters in Hennala.

The studio was born quickly

The studio’s sound studio was built in the training room now built in Apulandia. In the former storage room next door, more space was made for sound production.

Bringing my own studio to life was a surprisingly painless process.

– That no one else will absorb him into their service. He is a really important link in all of this and makes our visions possible.

The same craftsman has made the horse that now decorates the yard of Apulandia.

– Even he got tired of it at very short notice, when we wanted a horse for the gig, whose entrails we will come on stage with, says Santapukki.

On Friday, Apulanta celebrates his new album with a concert in Tampere at Pakkahuone.
