Event organiser Lahti Events will announce next year’s venue by the end of this year. The event was originally planned for the troubled Kymiringi.

The Motocross World Championship will continue to be held in Finland next summer. MXGP series rights holder Infront Moto Racing has published its World Championship calendar for next summer. According to the schedule, the premier class of motocross will come to Finland on 5-6 August 2023.

This was announced by Lahti Events, the event company of the city of Lahti, which was supposed to organise the MXGP event last summer at the Kymiringi in Iiti. The race was moved to Hyvinkää due to the shortcomings of the Kymiringi.

Lahti Events says it will confirm next year’s venue by the end of 2022.

In addition to MXGP, MX2, EMX250 and EMX125 classes races will be held in MXGP Finland this weekend. In the summer of 2022, the event in Hyvinkää was visited by almost 17,000 people during the weekend, according to Lahti Events’ press release.
