The goal of the project is to inspire the public to get to know the online environment of the future, i.e. the metaverse. Visitors can influence the art displayed in the -pavilion and vote on the works to be added to it.

– Through the metagallery, we are able to bring something completely new to art lovers, but at the same time we are exploring what museum operations could be in the web 3.0 world. According to research, virtual worlds bring a lot of positive things to the interaction between people, says Levä in the National Gallery’s press release.

An increasing number of people use digital services primarily, not just as an extension of the physical world. According to the National Gallery, it is also possible to reach new audience segments through the exhibition opening today.
