Productions produced by Oulu Theater and the students of the University of Arts Theater College and Oulu University of Applied Sciences are presented in a mini-festival in December around Oulu.
Community theater is studied in Oulu. The theater of Oulu participates in the education of students in the theater field in a cooperation project in which, in addition to the theater, the University of the Arts Theater School and the Oulu University of Applied Sciences are involved.
In November, a social theater course will be organized in Oulu, in which, in addition to Tetteri students, directing and dramaturgy students from the University of Applied Sciences and journalism students from the University of Applied Sciences will participate.
After the course, the students’ works will be presented on the big stage of different Oulu theaters and in different parts of the city in early December.
– One of our starting points is to get to know the creators of the future and to lower their threshold to make new creative proposals for established theaters, says Alma Lehmuskalliosanoo.
The mini-festival of social theater will take place in Oulu on December 1–3, 2022. There are free performances in various parts of the city from December 1st to 2nd. and \”Looking for social theater\” will be seen on the big stage on December 3.
