Lahti starts doing resident marketing with the ice hockey club Pelicans. The city signs a cooperation agreement with the Pelicans, in which opportunities are created for those moving to Lahti to become rooted in the culture of their new hometown through activities or small events organized by the league club.

The costs of the project are 30,000 euros. The plan is to start the operation this fall, and the cooperation agreement will extend until next spring.

Lahti has previously organized bus tours for new residents, for example, but such activities have been on hiatus due to the corona epidemic.
