Brown tourists have returned to Western Lapland in particular – and the restaurant scene is also back in demand

In Lapland Hotels’ Lapland destinations, the number of brown tourists has fallen this year from its peak in the Corona period, but tourists are now spending significantly more money in restaurants than in previous years.

– It has been really gratifying to see that the brown groups have made a comeback after years of interest rates. The age group that is emerging is slightly older tourists,” Sippo says in the press release.

In Eastern Lapland, the number of brown tourists is clearly lower than last year.

More money spent in restaurants than in recent years

After the nature day, tourists are attracted by the restaurant scene.

– The restaurant now spends money in the same way as before the corona virus, says Sippo.
