Apartments in Pori continue to be in high demand during the summer events. As is traditional, small apartments in the centres are particularly popular with event guests.
Visit Pori is already in full swing with the summer events, or at least with the accommodation of the event guests.
This year, the accommodation needs for the events will be spread over two weeks, with the Finnish Arena and the Finnish Music Festival taking place after Midsummer and Pori Jazz in the second week of July.
However, there is some dispersion, and specifically in the sense that there is no accommodation available for Jazz Week.
– This may be influenced by Pori Jazz’s artist lineup this year. Because of the popular artists, some of the private accommodation owners now stay for jazz themselves or accommodate their own close circle, Kuivalainen guesses.
Need for small apartments in the city centre
Those staying through Visit Pori are traditionally reliable and well-behaved adults, many participate in the Suomi-arena through work, for example, and value home-like accommodation.
– The people of Pori have commendably adopted the fact that it is not a good idea to leave the apartment empty during these weeks of events, when there is demand.
Even though summer is fast approaching, it is worth offering your own apartment near the city center for accommodation.
– There is still demand, especially for small apartments in the core, Kuivalainen says.
