Käärijä: “I want to show that you can win the Eurovision Song Contest in Finnish”

Wrapper’s performance in the first semi-final of the Liverpool Eurovision Song Contest received the longest applause from the audience.

Finland will perform in the first half of Saturday’s Eurovision final.

Wrappers have emerged as one of the biggest favourites. He said he didn’t want to take the pressure off.

– I just try to enjoy myself, even though sometimes it’s difficult. Even though everyone wants a wrap everywhere, I want to focus on the training. All the artists here want to win the competition, and so do I.

Wrappers also said he would not want to improve any of his performance for Saturday’s final.

– I’m just going to do my best and let’s see what happens.

The wrapper is especially happy that he is in the Eurovision final with a song in Finnish.

– There are many people in Finland who think that you should not enter the Eurovision Song Contest with a song in Finnish. I want to show that you can win in Finnish.

After the semi-final, the first half of the final was drawn as the venue for Finland. The final order of performances will be decided by the producers of the show, once all the performers have been announced after Thursday’s second semi-final.

The first half is usually considered more challenging, as the performers in the second half can be better remembered by the audience.
