The Tampere region and the whole of Pirkanmaa have a strong sauna culture. The Visit Tampere project maps the development and diversification of the sauna business.
Visit Tampere, the tourism company of the city of Tampere, maps the possibilities for the development and diversification of the sauna business in Pirkanmaa. It is believed that they can be found in tourism to wellness sectors and local food, and from ecological construction to digital solutions.
The association of Pirkanmaa has allocated nearly 73,000 euros to the Visit Tampere project. The project will last until the end of August 2025.
The Tampere region and the whole of Pirkanmaa have a strong sauna culture. Tampere received the title of sauna capital of the world in May 2018.
