According to Antton Oinaanoja, a scout who came from northern Espoo, the planning phase of the trips is very important. He started planning the trip to Repovede with his scout friends already in the winter.

Those near Repovedi National Park can now be reached by train. You can get from the train stop to the nature trails and back by, for example, a bus connection.

Repovedi National Park can now be accessed more smoothly by public transport. Hillosensalmi train stop, located next to Repovede National Park, was opened today. For those traveling to the national park, there is also a bus connection from the train station to Lapinsalmi along the nature trails.

– I probably have to walk more. That 26 kilometers goes quickly to the finish line, says Perkkiö.

Ilmari Kumpula and Maaria Perkkiö were the first to arrive at the train stop in Hillosensalmi. Kumpula says that he is most looking forward to the beautiful scenery of Repove.

– We were prepared for the fact that we would have to walk from the train station to Lapinsalmi. It came as a surprise that this bus connection existed, Perkkiö says.

The bus connection from the train stop to Lapinsalmi also surprised the patrol group, Niipper’s Nuolihaukas, who arrived from Pohjois Espoo. The scouts had prepared for the fact that they would have had to walk about seven kilometers to get to the national park trails.
