An exhibition of the photographer Kari Riipinen, who became famous in the early 1980s, is underway in Helsinki’s Punavuori. He also worked as a cover artist for several famous artists of his time.

He became known for his photo collages, album covers and as a perpetuator of the era’s female beauty.

At Gallery Albert IX in Punavuori, Helsinki, the exhibition *Me and the artist Riipinen* is on. Among other things, Polaroid collages that have become the artist’s trademarks are on display.

Kari Riipinen is in the Polaroid collage as the model of his own image, so it is a self-portrait.

The exhibition is open until May 6.
