The financial statement lacked the mandatory reserves, which the city uses to prepare for the fact that it will not receive all loan receivables from its two companies.
Last year’s result of the city of Lahti is weakening. The financial statements are corrected so that the result is reduced by 7.2 million euros.
The adjusted result is approximately EUR 47.1 million. The surplus for the financial year will be 27.1 million euros.
The financial statement previously submitted to the City Council lacked the entry of mandatory reserves. They prepare for the fact that the city will not get back part of its loan receivables from Lahti Events and Lahten Jäähalli oy.
The city says in its press release that the recording error is due to a data break in the process between the city and Provincia oy, which manages the accounting.
The revised financial statement will be submitted to the city board for consideration at the end of May and to the city council in early June.
