Käärijä’s bolero was lifted to the roof of the Helsinki ice rink

Käärijä’s green bolero has become famous from the music video of the song Cha Cha Cha.

At the gesture, the Helsinki ice hall would like to wish Finland’s Eurovision representative a good trip to the Liverpool visus.

Käärijä’s already iconic green bolero has been frozen and raised to the roof of the Helsinki ice rink. With Ele, the Helsinki ice hall wants to wish the shirtless frolic a good trip to the Eurovision Song Contest in a very unique way.

Käärijä’s first concert after the Eurovision Song Contest will be held at the Helsinki Ice Hall on May 20.

When he was younger, Jere Pöyhönen played ice hockey seriously in IHK and Kiekko-Vantaa.

– My bolero skills were not enough to freeze the shirt, but it is a great honor that my bolero will be frozen on the roof of the ice rink. In the same place, insanely loud parties are known at the end of May, says Käärijä.

– It has been amazing to follow Käärijä’s journey from UMK to today. We are already looking forward to Käärijä’s May ice rink concert, which gave us the idea to freeze and raise the bolero that has already been in Käärijä’s many adventures to the roof of the ice rink. The practice is common with legendary athletes, but at least for us this is the first ‘game jersey’ suspension outside of sports, says Kimmo Oinonen, event manager of the Helsinki Ice Hall.

After today’s celebration ceremony, the bolero is lowered from the ceiling and the Wrapper packs it in his suitcase heading for Liverpool.

The wrapper will represent Finland in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 9. The final will be broadcast from Liverpool on Saturday evening, May 13.
