The event will take place this weekend in the surroundings of the city pond and Kajaanihalli. 21 artists will perform at the festival, including, among others, Apulanta, Arttu Wiskari, J. Karjalainen, Haloo Helsinki!, JVG and Vesala.
The Kainuu Music Festival organized in Kajaani on the weekend is reaching the goal of 10,000 visitors.
– Especially if the top artists perform less often in the area, their attraction is enough to move the residents of the same neighborhood. I believe this happening will satisfy the hunger for music.
– The artists took this with joy and that’s why the top performers are included, says Fyhr.
According to Fyhr, the people of Kainuu have wanted to come and participate in the construction of the event. The city of Kajaani has also been very involved.
– This is the festival that concludes the festival summer in northern Finland. Kainuu definitely has potential for an event of this size. Getting people interested in southern Finland is different than here, where there aren’t big events every weekend.
For example, around 20 people work on the construction of the big main stage before and after the event. The work is done on contract basis and as hired work.
