The number of Ukrainians who applied to LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences was smaller than expected

A total of 120 places were reserved for Ukrainian applicants, but so far only a handful of applications have been received.

The number of Ukrainians who applied to LAB University of Applied Sciences and LUT University has been lower than expected. LAB and LUT reserved a total of 120 study places for Ukrainians, but there have been only a few applicants.

– To some extent, for example, language and housing matters will affect this. It may also be that the decision on temporary protection has not been made. It is also possible that people of study age who have come to Finland study remotely in their home country. There can also be other reasons, Kuiri reflects.

The languages of instruction at both colleges are Finnish and English, which means that the student must be fluent in, for example, English in order to succeed in his studies.

The studies offered at LAB and LUT are free of charge for all Ukrainian students.
