A student has injured another student at the Mukkula school, informs the city of Lahti. According to the release, another student hit the victim with a sharp metal object on Wednesday afternoon. The violence happened during a break in the afternoon.
The student who was hit by a metal object received minor injuries. The punch hit the back of the student’s hand. He has received treatment for his injuries and is getting the support he needs and conversational help.
The police visited the place immediately after the incident and are investigating the incident. The guardians of both students have been contacted.
– We will take the necessary measures. We will examine separately whether there are possibilities to return to school. The principal has the option to refuse to come to the school, but things are always considered individually and on a case-by-case basis. In this and other cases, both students will be provided with support for processing the case.

The Mukkula elementary school has approximately 820 students from the first grade to the ninth grade.
