The role of Vesku is played by Pyry Kähkönen.

The series follows through five decades how Vesku became Vesku.

The story begins when Vesku enters theater school in the early 1960s and ends at the Sodankylä film festival in 2010. The audio drama is also a story about how Finland became the Finland we live in now.

– We don’t try to draw a ready-made picture of the artist, but throw ourselves at the same questions, contradictions and choices that Vesku faced on his way, director Juhana von Bagh says.

Known as a comedian, Loir grew up to become a respected theater actor, who was also a singer and a musician who played many instruments fluently. Music plays a big role in Yle’s audio drama.
