On Wednesday evening, the police received an alert about a confrontation in the lobby of a shopping center in the center of Lahti.
According to the police, the duo had taken drinks from the alcohol shelves in the store, some of which had fallen on the floor. One of the men left past the registers without paying for the drinks, when the security guard stopped him and asked him to show his pocket. The man did not obey and tried to run away.
The security guard stopped the fugitive, and during the confrontation, an apple stolen from the store fell from the man.
At this point, another of the men who were busy in the store passed the cash register and joined the fight, hitting the security guard, among other things. One of the men got away, but the other was caught. A chicken burger taken from the store was found in the pocket of the person caught.
Häme police are investigating the incident as a robbery. The name of the suspect who escaped is also known to the police.
