The Arts Promotion Centre is funding a total of 33 cultural projects in sparsely populated rural areas. Viitapiiri, based in Tampere, also received a grant.
The municipality of Ruovesi and the Kuohijoki Village Association in Pälkänee will receive substantial grants from the Arts Promotion Centre.
The municipality of Ruovesi will receive €43 000 to strengthen diverse culture and employ artists.
The Kuohijoe Village Association will receive €28 000 to organise the Kuohijoe Art Festival 2023.
Viitapiiri from Tampere will also receive a grant of 12,000 euros to organize four stage poetry events.
The Art Promotion Center received a total of 211 applications, and 33 communities received grants. The size of the grants varies from 10,000 euros to 90,000 euros.
The funding can be used until the end of 2024.
