The flexibility of nursing organizations will end – Päijät-Sote is prepared for the tightening of the ban on overtime and shift changes

The members of the nursing organizations have been able to deviate from the ban during the summer if they wanted, but when the fall comes, work will be done again strictly according to the shift lists.

The banana was ripped off at the caregivers' demonstration in the center of Helsinki on Saturday, April 9. The picture shows a drawing of a banana on a sign.

The ban on overtime and shift changes for nurses belonging to trade unions will be tightened.

The ban on overtime and shift changes has been in effect since spring, but during the summer the employee has been able to flex voluntarily. From the first day of September, this opportunity will end, and the members of Tehy and Super will only work according to pre-planned shift lists.

Päijät-Sote says that he strives to ensure the smooth running of the services, despite the fact that overtime cannot be assigned and shifts cannot be changed.
