The Ministry of Education and Culture has today allocated almost 2.2 million euros for the promotion of children’s culture.

Jyväskylä’s regional children’s culture network Kulttuuriaitta has received 100,000 euros from the Ministry of Education and Culture to promote children’s culture.

Nine municipalities belong to Kultuuraiita’s cooperation network. In addition to Jyväskylä, Hankasalmi, Keuruu, Laukaa, Multia, Muurame, Petäjävesi, Toivakka, Uurainen and Äänekoski are included.

Central to the network’s activities is children’s cultural education and upbringing, starting from infancy. In addition to early childhood education and basic education, children’s culture is also offered to families.

2.2 million euros in support was distributed nationally.

The aim of the grant is, among other things, to increase equal access to art and culture for children and to strengthen the cooperation of actors in the area’s art and culture sector.
