The short film Saga Caiania will have its world premiere in Kuhmo on Friday, March 3.

Mikko Kähkönen and Elmeri Kinnunen, originally from Kuhmo, want to awaken faith in the new prosperity of the province and the power of cooperation with their film.

Saga Caiania, a musical short film made as a tribute to Kainu, will premiere today in Kuhmo and the video service on YouTube.

– There is a lot of attitude in Kainuu, that you know how to handle things. An external advisor is not necessarily needed, as is brought out in Saga, Kähkönen describes.

The film swears by cooperation. According to Kähkönen, Kainuu should try things boldly and see the province as one region.

– Challenges should be faced together. If you try alone, you may not be able to, but in cooperation there is strength.

A good example of cooperation is the film itself. Saga Caian has been made by more than 70 people from Kainuu. There are actors, musicians, choir singers, photographers and documentarians. Seven preview screenings of the film were held in February.

– Especially the feedback from the people of Kainuu was positive. Some were even speechless, Kähkönen says.

*You can discuss the topic until 23:00 on March 4.*
