Demolition of the commercial building used by Tavaratalo Anttila will start in Paavola, Lahti, possibly as early as spring

The commercial building used by Tavaratalo Anttila will be demolished and the entire block will be transformed as a result of Uddis construction.

Luhta companies are planning a 17-story hotel tower as well as a commercial building and an apartment building for the area.

The department store Anttila, which went bankrupt in 2016, left behind a large shopping center in Lahti, for which a reasonable use has not been found.

The plans include the renewal of almost the entire block so that in the future only the properties at Vesijärvenkatu 17 and Vesijärvenkatu 15 will remain, although the courtyard building will also be demolished from the latter’s plot.

Luhta-Kinteistöt is planning a 17-story hotel tower, a two-story commercial building and a high-rise apartment building for the area.

According to the magazine, it is possible that the K-shop will move to the new commercial building under construction.
