In the previous Parliamentary elections, Ville Skinnari (S&D), Lulu Ranne (PS) and Sanni Grahn-Laasonen (Coalition Party) received the largest number of votes in Häme.
The other governing parties have had one MP from Häme.
Behind him, Juha Rehula from Hollola, who has been in parliament for more than two decades, is pushing for passage. The Kepun veteran was knocked out in the last elections.
The Swedish People’s Party’s electoral success in central Finland has been modest, but it has now managed to get five candidates on the list instead of three in the previous elections. The party is also pleased to have candidates from all the largest conurbations in the constituency – Lahti, Hämeenlinna and Riihimäki.
Both major parties of the opposition, the Kokoomus and Basic Finns, each represent Häme with three MPs.
The Power Belongs to the People party plans to nominate half a dozen candidates from Häme.
Today, the parties had to submit their lists of candidates to the electoral district committees, which confirm the candidate lineup for the parliamentary elections on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Early voting in Finland takes place from Wednesday to Tuesday, March 22-28. and the actual election day is Sunday, April 2, 2023.
