The Päijät-Häme Welfare Region Council today approved an investment plan for the coming years.
The new social services centre to be built in Nastola, Lahti, will be ready to serve customers by 2026.
The Päijät-Häme Welfare Region Council, which met on Monday, approved the investment plan for 2023-2027, which also includes a construction project costing around EUR 18 million in Nastola.
The current year will be spent updating the old, original plans, with construction due to start in 2024.
The Sote center is to be built in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Rakokivi business center.
In June 2020, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health already gave the green light to a new social and health center in Nastola.
At the moment, the health and safety center operates in modular shelters.
The old health center is closed due to indoor air problems.
