Kuoppala had a long theatre career in Kemi and Jyväskylä.

In the TV series *I Only Have a Few Cheaters* he played Rainer Miello.

Ahti Kuoppala has worked at both the Kemi and Jyväskylä City Theatres. He retired from Jyväskylä in 1993.
