The production plant planned for North Carolina is supposed to start up by the end of the current year.
Lahti-based Kempower, which manufactures fast charging equipment for electric cars, is establishing a production facility for electric car charging stations in North Carolina, USA.
The planned project investment is 40 million US dollars over the next five years, the company says. According to the company, the recruitment of personnel to the United States is already underway.
The facility will manufacture DC fast chargers for electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses and electric work machines.
The company’s goal is to start production by the end of this year.
At the beginning of the year, the company said it was investigating options for expanding production capacity in Europe as well. Currently, Kempower has two factories in Lahti.
