Man and woman arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery in Orimattila

Päijät-Häme District Court imprisoned a man and a woman on suspicion of two aggravated robberies in Orimattila.

The police do not yet know the motive of the perpetrators. Both the robbers and the victims were young adults.

On Wednesday 25 January, Päijät-Häme District Court imprisoned a 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of two aggravated robberies in Orimattila. The prisoners are from the region of Päijä-Hämälä.

The events started last Saturday when one of the victims of the robbery called the emergency services at 6am to report a robbery at a private residence.

The preliminary investigation is now looking into two aggravated robberies, in which four people entered the victim’s home and used violence to take the property of two different victims.

In addition to those now arrested, two other people who were involved in the robberies are also suspected.

All perpetrators and victims are roughly the same age group.

– There is still no clarity about the more precise motive of the actions, says Kiiskinen.
