Companies in the food sector, among others, have been at the forefront of announcing the start of the summer job search.
The summer job search has started. After the end of January, the Häme Employment and Economic Development Office had around 100 job advertisements with a total of around 700 summer jobs.
Among the advertisers in the area, the Lahti Parish Council, Fazer Bakery, HKScan and Tervakoski oy offer the most summer jobs. The TE Office reports that more and more vacancies are being advertised all the time.
Stora Enso and the K-Group, for example, have also announced summer jobs in the area. Stora Enso is looking for nearly 120 summer workers for the Heinola fluting plant, the Lahti corrugated packaging plant and wood procurement in Southern Finland next summer. The K-Group is looking for a total of around 330 summer jobs in Kanta- and Päijät-Häme. Applications for these jobs will mainly start in the second week of February.
According to him, you should not rely on job advertisements alone.
– Active also uses social media, relatives, neighbors and bus radio. They are perfectly usable channels for applying for summer jobs as well as other jobs.
Ala-Sankola also suggests that recruiting events are held in the area in the spring and winter, where applicants can meet employers.
