Tower Taisto this weekend – More than 20 Ostrobothnian teams participate

Teams will try to detect as many bird species as possible on Saturday in eight hours. You can also attend the Bonga Day in the Yard this weekend.

On Saturday, a bird’s day is celebrated in the yard or in the tower.

In the Towers’ battle in Ostrobothnia Committees, bird followers are followed in 25 towers. Most teams in the area have registered from Kokkola and Kalajoki, each with five towers.

The Tower Taisto will be held for the 30th time this year. Teams strive to detect as many bird species as possible during Saturday from the bird tower within eight hours.

More than 300 teams from all over Finland are involved in the tower battle.

The Bonga Day in the Yard event, on the other hand, is for anyone interested in birds and nature. You can attend the event throughout the weekend.

The purpose is to see or hear as many bird species as possible from your own yard. The findings are reported to BirdLife Finland.
