Luhta managed to increase domestic sales and international online sales, but international wholesale sales decreased significantly.

Luhda’s clothing sales abroad are stagnating. Despite good performance in retail and international e-commerce, Luhta’s turnover fell by 10.7% last year.

This is mainly due to a decline in international wholesale sales in the major European markets of Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. In some European countries, such as Estonia and Slovakia, Luhta managed to increase wholesale sales.

International wholesale sales fell by 17.2 per cent.

There is a warm and low -snow winter in the background, and tensions in the international situation also affect. According to Luhta, 2024 was the third consecutive year as demand deteriorated in all markets. This has led to oversized warehouses with the Group’s customers.

Luhta’s sales in Finland increased by 4.2 percent. Still, last year was difficult for Luhta, especially in the domestic sports shop, where sales declined in all months. The value of the sports trade was already below the previous level of the pandemic.

Next year, Luhta anticipates some growth in wholesale sales.

Last year, Luhta completed previously decided changes in the domestic retail chain structure. The loss -making Aleksi 13 and Luhta Outdoor chains were abolished. Luhta closed a total of 17 stores and turned four stores into stores in the Luhta Brand Store.
