Suomussalmi’s Jaloniemitalo will have a digital exhibition focusing on military history. It is supposed to act as a business card and a stop along the 5-way and to support other companies that focus on cultural and military history.
The exhibition is part of Suomussalmi’s tourism development project, which improves the accessibility and recognition of cultural and historical sites through digital means in order to increase the offer of year-round cultural tourism.
Podcast and audio contents have not previously been used in Suomussalmi municipality’s tourism services as part of communication and marketing.
The cost estimate of the project is approximately 150,000 euros, of which the Suomussalmi municipality’s share is 20,000 euros. Kainuu’s association has granted 119,724 euros for the project. Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, which administers the project, has a self-financing share of 9,500 euros.
