Two men fined for assaulting rally driver Sami Pajari

Pajari, a Lahti resident, was assaulted by a drunken pair of men in the summer of 2021 in Iiti.

The events took place in June 2021 in Iitti, when a drunken pair of men attacked a Pajari behind the wheel of a car.

Pajari was attacked through the open window of a car that was parked on Sitikkalanti Street in Iti at night. A passenger in the car filmed the events on his phone.

The men tore Pajar’s hair and clothes, punched him with their fists and strangled him around the neck. During the attack, the men also damaged Pajar’s car.

The men born in 1994 and 1998 were sentenced in the district court to pay a total of 50 daily fines. In total, the two have to pay various pain compensations, material damages and court costs of around 6,000 euros.

The judgment is not yet final.
